St. Matthew is supporting Operation Christmas Child again in 2023. Half of the loose coins in the offering plate in 2023 will go to support Operation Christmas Child. In 2022, we filled over 200 shoe boxes. Each shoe box contained items like erasers, pencil sharpeners, sling bags, plastic cups, wash clothes, soap, combs/brushes, tooth brushes, small toys—cards/games, hammers and nails, fishing hooks, lures, lines, sewing needles. The goal for 2023 is to fill 300 boxes.
Together we can make a difference in a child’s life. In each box, the ministry adds biblical materials in the child’s language so that they can learn about the love of Jesus Christ and then the child shares this Great News with their friends and families.
Look for Operation Christmas Child to begin gathering items for show boxes this summer for shipment in November 2023.
